Notes

The .32 NAA, also known as the .32 North American Arms, is a pistol cartridge developed in the United States as by North American Arms as part of a weapons system and was later offered in the NAA Guardian Mini-Pistol. The .32 NAA cartridge is a .380 ACP pistol cartridge necked down to accept a .32 caliber projectile. Currently the cartridge is manufactured by CorBon and is offered in loadings of around 60-80 grain projectiles with velocities upward of 1000-1200 fps depending on the load selected, making it a step more powerful than the rival .32 ACP cartridge, due to the bottleneck design. The .32 NAA is also currently offered through Hornady in their Critical Defense line.

In terms of power, the .32 NAA is at the high end of the spectrum for both velocity and muzzle energy for a .32 caliber cartridge. The cartridge outperforms both the .32 S&W (by a lot) and the .32 ACP cartridges. With the standard 60 grain projectile, you can expect muzzle energies around 200 ft-lbs, making it the highest end of .32 caliber auto cartridges, but still falling short of magnum revolver cartridges such as the .32 H&R Magnum or the .327 Federal Magnum, which produce similar velocities but with larger and heavier projectiles and significantly more muzzle energy, which is to be expected.
