Notes
The 4.25mm Liliput cartridge is a micro-caliber pistol cartridge originally intended for use in the Liliput Pistol. Being slightly larger than other miniature pistol cartridges such as the 2.7mm Kolibri and 3mm Kolibri cartridges, the 4.5mm Liliput bullet diameter is about .167 in” (4.24mm) and was offered in weights in the 10-17 grain range. This not only offered approximately 3-4 times the bullet weight of the two smaller cartridges, but significantly more muzzle energy as well. That being said, the 4.25mm Liliput only produces under 20 ft-lbs of energy from the muzzle, or about 1/10th that of a fairly standard .32 ACP load.
The 4.25mm Liliput pistol cartridge, while being a very small caliber projectile (approximately ~0.167″) is the heaviest of what are considered the 3 smallest historical cartridges, including the 2.34mm Rimfire and the 2.7mm Kolibri (the 3mm Kolibri being lumped in with the 2.7mm Kolibri, despite being different cartridges). Alongside the Kolibri pistol cartridges and their associated firearms are highly sought after collectibles in the world of firearms.
