The .22 WRF, or .22 Winchester Rimfire, is a Rimfire cartridge that is in the .22 Caliber Rimfire Family of cartridges, being slightly longer than the more popular .22 Long Rifle. Like its sister cartridge the .22 Extra Long, the .22 WRF lots its popularity due to the modern loadings of the .22 Long Rifle and high adaptation worldwide. In recent years however, the .22 WRF has regained popularity in smaller niche crowds, being directly interchangeable in some .22 WMR Magnum Revolvers and single shot Rifles.
