Notes
The .22 WMR is the largest in the .22 Caliber Rimfire family of cartridges, being longer than both the .22 Long Rifle, .22 WRF, and the .22 Long. The .22 WMR is capable of both more powder and higher pressures due to its more modern cartridge design, and thus is capable of pushing to higher velocities and greater muzzle energies using the same weight projectile as its counterparts. A .22 WMR Cartridge with a 40 grain projectile is capable of reaching well of 2000fps and maintaining a relatively flat trajectory past 100 yards, making a popular cartridge for Varminting.
